Poor preparation is an inexcusable blunder that no public speaker should commit. The ten other blunders to avoid are:
Exceeding the allotted time
Speakers focusing on themselves
Reading from a power point or notes at the cost of eye contact
Starting with a joke or quote which is irrelevant
Trying to handle too much material in too little time
Giving wrong statistics and information
Handling the Q & A’s poorly
Reacting to the audience instead of responding
Ending the speech abruptly without a sense of conclusion
Poor or no audience analysis
